Bloch wall

A Bloch wall is a narrow transition region at the boundary between magnetic domains, over which the magnetisation changes from its value in one domain to that in the next. The magnetisation rotates through the plane of the wall unlike the Néel wall where the magnetisation rotates in the plane of the wall. In a 180° domain material, if there are N steps in a Bloch wall, then over each step the direction of the magnetisation changes by π/N radians.
