The Journal of the American Chemical Society (usually abbreviated as J. Am. Chem. Soc., or JACS), is a peer-reviewed scientific journal, published since 1879 by the chemistry. According to Institute for Scientific Information statistics, JACS is the journal with the most citations in this field.[1] The impact factor of the journal is 7.42 (2005).[1] The current Editor of the journal is Peter J. Stang of the University of Utah. He has been the Editor since 2002.
