Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry



  The Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry is a research institute of the Max Planck Society located in Martinsried, a suburb of Munich. The Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry, founded 1912 as a Kaiser Wilhelm Institute, was relocated from Berlin in 1945 to Tübingen and moved once more in 1956 to Munich. During this time from 1933 on Adolf Butenandt was director of the institute.
