Polyhydroxybutyrate

Polyhydroxybutyrate (PHB) is a acetyl-CoA to give acetoacetyl-CoA which is subsequently reduced to hydroxybutyryl-CoA. This latter compound is then used as a monomer to polymerize PHB.^[1]
